Stevie Bell crept into Snowboarder Magazine’s office and sat down for a short interview with Pat “The eYe” Bridges to talk about Forum or Against’em, the European Tour, and his fellow Forum team mates. To find out in detail, all that Stevie had to comment on, follow up with links above (or below).

For’am, Austen Sweetin made the trek to the Pearl District in Portland for this year’s Back Yard Bang contest. Doing a bang-up job, as expected, Austen took the top spot and walked away with, well, not much more than a snowboard he’ll never use and some bragging rights. Nice work kid. Be sure to hit up eBay with that.

Nate over at the Snowboard Magazine is a crusty ole, well, you get the idea. Sorry, but we just can’t back your review of The Hundreds / Forum collaboration snowboard - considering we at Forum are excited about it, and you basically just tore it a new asshole.

Anyway, since the magazine is already printed and distributed, we’ll utilize the web to reclaim just how awesome the collab is. For anyone that cares (or is actually still reading this) here is the review:

John Jackson just landed himself the cover of Transworld Japan, along with a nice little interview within its contents. Although you fully deserve some insight into what was said, it’s proven a bit difficult to decipher the majority of those Japanese symbols in the write-up.

By now you should be well aware that Pat Moore has been known to throw down (or kick out) one of the better Methods in snowboarding. If you have any interest in learning to do this timeless trick the proper (Pat) way, indulge in this informative video courtesy of Transworld Snowboarding.

Next time you pass the news stands, pick yourself up a copy of Maxim’s December Style Guide. Within the contents, Forum’s Love Glove gets a little editorial love of its own.

The one and only Peter Line took a weekend trip to Michigan and Ohio for Forum or Against’em premieres at Martini and TWC Sport. While taking in the usual anticipated antics of shop premieres, Peter was kind enough to sign a few autographs, and do custom topsheet graphics for some lucky dwellers in the crowd.

Although the weather in Mammoth felt more like late Spring than early Winter, the mountain provided many with their first turns of the 2008/2009 season. For’am Team riders Trevor Jacob, Greg Bretz, and Niko Cioffi were around to take a few of their own as well, along with their first jumps and jibs; some of which are documented below.

How about these window displays at Darkside in Stowe, Vermont - featuring hometown hero, Jake Blauvelt.

Daniel recently left the comforts of his Norse homeland and headed to Austria for some early season turns and pow. Along with the pics he sent, there was also this message:

Jake Blauvelt shipped up to Edmonton for a Forum or Against’em showing at the sold-out Garneau Theater. The usual ensued. Needless to say, Forum or Against’em is, well, it’s amazing. Go out there and get a copy.

For’am Greg Bretz was recently featured on an episode of Fuel TV’s Daily Habit. Tune in and check him out as he gives you the scoop on the contest circuit and his closing shots in Forum or Against’em - chances are you can turn on Fuel TV right now and catch a rebroadcast.

Also making a cameo in this episode is Christopher Mintz, better known for his role as “McLovin” in Superbad.

Ol’ Man Winter has made his presence known and bestowed upon us the opening of several North American winter resorts. From Killington to Mammoth, and Snowbird to Breck, some of the more geographically blessed have had the opportunity to get out and make the first turns of the season - as well as a few bonk-a-bonks. Here are some photos from opening days across the country. Raise your glasses, as the time for celebration is upon us.

Skokie, Illinois is home to The Shred Shop. If you’re in the area and need to pick up some Forum goods, head over to the 10,000sq ft sales floor and get your hands on some product… only after checking out their lovely window displays and light boxes.

Jake Blauvelt is on his way to becoming the North American Nicolas Müller. Raised on the cold hard slopes of Vermont, Blauvelt first found his calling in the pipes and parks of the USASA Green Mountain Series, eventually capping off his East Coast contest dominance with a 2004 US Open slopestyle win. Since these successes, Blauvelt has migrated west to Washington and planted his roots in and around the Baker area. Focusing more on the fresh and less on the leaderboard, Jake has amplified his aerial ability to new and improved heights, and developed an innate knack for sniffing out the natural features that Mother Nature offers, rather than pre-built Park Bully step-downs. Pat Moore is someone you can all ways count on. I spent the whole season shooting with Pat. In that time I got to see a side of him that many people don’t get to see. Pat is all ways willing to lend a hand or help anyone out at any time. He’s actually one of the nicest guys in snowboarding. He gives 100 % every waking moment. Let’s just say he is a very passionate person. Check him out in the Forum movie “Forum or Against ‘Em” and you will see what I mean.
Oh yeah, he is really good at snowboarding too.
