FORUM WINS 3 GOOD WOOD AWARDS

08.25.2009

GOODWOOD

FORUM is proud to announce the 2010 Destroyer ChillyDog, Youngblood ChillyDog and Seeker have just received Good Wood honors from Transworld Snowboarding for the upcoming season!

Awarded Good Wood in the over $400 Park category, the Destroyer ChillyDog is a new twist on a Forum classic. This ChillyDog-infused flagship brings Continuous Rocker fun to those destroying what lies in their path.

The Youngblood ChillyDog, winning Good Wood in the under $399 Park category, exemplifies that progression lies at the very root of the Youngblood soul. It only makes sense to bring ChillyDog Continuous Rocker to this established street stick for less on-edge hang-up and increased stability.

A continuing two-year Transworld Good Wood champ, the Seeker offers a poppier flex and a more aggressive edge. The result is a fast snap and quicker response while ripping.

GET YOUR DOSE OF GOOD VIBES WITH THE SHAKA BINDING

08.12.2009

Check out the award-wining Shaka binding ad in the September issue of SNOWBOARDER MAG.

forum_shaka_ad

Letting bros and brahs feel the Good Vibes, this setup mounts to any four-hole pattern with the Good Vibes hinged disc that allows a board to bend without interrupting it’s natural flex. The Good Vibes pad with FGel cushioning lets toes chill into a plush cushion. Taken holistically the Shaka provides a freer underfoot flex when destroying the park, blasting through the pipe, slashing the pow or shredding with your bro brahs. No need for a new board to get a new sensation, simply mount these puppies on any ole four-by-four stick and you’ll be feeling the vibes – the Good Vibes.

Try with a ChillyDog Continuous Rocker board for a state of heightened shredness never achieved before!

EDDIE WALL UP FOR GRABS - SNOWBOARDER MAG

08.11.2009

UP4GRABS
Photo: Daniel Blom

Pennsylvania isn’t really acknowledged for producing world-class shreds. In fact, it’s a state more associated with steel mills than ski hills. However, the Keystone State slopes have groomed some of snowboarding’s most formidable uber-groms in their early years. Such is the case for PA native Eddie Wall. However, Wall’s home hill can’t take all the credit for his on-snow success; Eddie’s personal drive and endless ability is what catapulted him into the upper echelons of awesome. Mopping floors and cleaning toilets in the Mammoth base lodge at night and fine-tuning his skills in Mammoth’s Main Park by day, Eddie introduced himself to the snowboard world around the turn of the century, and since then has rewritten the “video pro” handbook, cranking out one next-level part after another for the last decade. A sponsor switch-up to Forum later, Eddie has become a team captain of sorts-as he’s been around the block a few times-but don’t go thinking that the dude’s “hitting the wall”. Eddie spent last winter filming for Forum’s new team video Forever, and as usual, you can expect the unusual with Eddie’s astounding offering. In the meantime, we’re giving you the chance to cop Eddie’s kit.

PETER LINE - AMERICA’S NEXT TOP PRO MODEL BIO

08.06.2009

It’s been speculated that Peter Line has sold more boards to female riders than Tara Dakides and Shannun Dunn. Rainbows and unicorns may earn the 6 time X Games medalist and 96 US Open Big Air champion points with the ladies, but Pete is gonna have to ride his model like a man if he wants to take home the Top Pro title.

PAT MOORE - AMERICA’S NEXT TOP PRO MODEL BIO

08.04.2009

Want to hear a joke? “Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” “Pat Moore.” “Pat Moore who?” “Pat Moore who is going to kick everyone at SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s ass if they make some joke about him being a jock in the America’s Next Top Pro Model writeup!” Kidding aside, you know what isn’t a joke? How seriously good Pat Moore is at riding a snowboard. If it’s covered in snow Pat can shred it. Keep in mind that the second-to-last time Pat competed at Hood he won the Abominable Snowjam halfpipe title and got second in the World Tailblocking Championships!
