FROM THE TEAM
09.28.2009
We usually say “let our riding do the talking”, but check out what the team has to say about filming FOREVER.
———————————————————
WHAT WAS IT LIKE FILMING FOREVER?
PETER LINE: Filming for a movie lasts forever, I just wish I lasted a little longer…
EDDIE WALL: Gnarly. Filming for any Forum movie is always really hard and usually very scary beacuase Forum sets such a high level to meet. Long nights till 6 am and early mornings waking at 4:30 am. Waking up so sore you can’t even get out of bed.

WHAT PUSHES YOU TO FOCUS AND SUCCEED WHEN FACED WITH A TRICK THAT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF YOU?
JONI MALMI: I’m way too busy to answer that question, or any other questions for that matter.
STEVIE BELL: The pure joy of doing it and overcoming all the risks that are involved.

WHICH OF YOUR TEAMMATES PUSHES YOU THE MOST?
PAT MOORE: John Jackson and Jake Blauvelt push me the a lot in the backcountry, they get me to try lines and look at the mountain a bit different. Eddie Wall and Stevie Bell push me a lot on the urban stuff too.
NICO CIOFFI: Nic Sauve. He has such good work ethic and lands shit first try all the time.

WHEN YOU THINK OF THE FORUM TEAM, WHAT COMES TO MIND?
JAKE BLAUVELT: Peter Line, progression and a legacy to keep alive.

WHO DID YOU MOSTLY RIDE WITH THIS PAST SEASON?
JAKE WELCH: I rode with Eddie Wall and Daniel Ek for a little bit, but what I was most stoked on was I got to ride with Jake Blauvelt and John Jackson. This guys are so good and push me to be better which is amazing.

WHAT MAKES SNOWBOARDING FUN FOR YOU?
NIC SAUVE: It’s the only way I know how to forget about the whole world and focus on the present moment.
JOHN JACKSON: Snowboarding brings freedom, peace, love, life, creativeness, a bigger picture than you saw the day before; a goal.

WHAT ARE THE FIVE WORDS THAT SUM UP YOUR SEASON?
DANIEL EK: Best time of my life.

FORUM FRIDAYS WITH JOHN JACKSON
09.25.2009
Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.
John Jackson locked in two songs for his ender in FOREVER. Music rights were very expensive this year, and If his additional footage were included in the video, he’d have had a three to four song part, putting the entire project over budget. Although this footage is worthy for some other riders out there, it had to be spared for John. Damn this economy.
FOREVER is Forum’s sixth team-video release, and will be available September 19th on DVD along with an iTunes digital download for $6.99 on October 12th

MANUAL CHILLYDOG WITH POP
09.21.2009
Dropping with our 6th team inspired movie FOREVER, comes the Manual ChillyDog featuring all new ChillyDog with Pop. The team’s top pick for urban sessions gets juiced up with early release 2011 new tech and FOREVER graphics. It’s a perfect fit. The team threw down in FOREVER progressing freestyle riding, and ChillyDog with Pop brings a progressive new freestyle tech. And we don’t think you need to be rich to have fun, so we’ve squeezed every penny and tried to make this one work for every budget.

We took the award winning ChillyDog Continuous Rocker and added special Pop zones in the nose and tail. This gives the deck the same playful, forgiving feel of continuous rocker, but with pop zones that help load up the nose and tail for even more ollie power.
Limited quantities are available at select shops so check here for more on this early release Manual ChillyDog with Pop. Have fun!

GONE FISHIN’
09.04.2009
Forum Cinematographer, Kurt Heine, spent a day or two on the Colombia river and caught almost 100 pounds of Salmon. Didn’t believe it when he called, but he sent these pictures over, and well, why not share. Looks like the guys behind the lens can land some big shit too.

TRY AND KEEP UP
09.04.2009
They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. In the case of the Wall family, it’s obvious that the tree doesn’t grow far away from the apple. At 60+, do you think you’ll be going this big? Ed Wall Sr. spends his winters hiking jumps in the park instead of taking laps. He drives hours from his home state of Pennsylvania to Vermont for on a weekly basis for day trips. You’ll find him hours away from home on opening days hiking rails on the smallest of snow patches, and dominating the USASA circuit in the midst of the winter. Ed religiously attends Killington’s Spring Loaded year after year along with Windell’s Snowboard Camp in the summers. Forum would like to extend a “thanks” to you for the inspiration Mr. Wall. Keep it going.

FORUM HANDED KEY TO THE CITY
09.01.2009
SNOWBOARDER MAG’S October 2009 issue features an 11 page photo story on Peter Line, Pat Moore, Eddie Wall, and Stevie Bell’s experiences filming in a small town. Usually avoiding police and the authorities is a must on urban trips, but after a city council meeting and support from the town of Houghton Michigan, the boys were literally handed the key to the city. Pick up the issue on newsstands and read all about it.
