On Wednesday, January 28th, “The Joint” at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will host the 2009 Transworld Rider’s Poll Awards. Nominees from the Forum Camp include Jake Blauvelt for RIDER OF THE YEAR and BEST VIDEO PART, along with Pat Moore who was also nominated for BEST VIDEO PART. Outstanding job gentlemen, we’ll see you in Vegas.

The night that Forum or Against’em was set to premiere in Sierra Snowboard, the 1000+ venue was, well, it was sold out by noon. That’s because the folks at Forum are such HUGE SELL OUTS!!!

Anyway, with such an anticipated turnout, John Jackson, Travis Kennedy, and Stevie Bell headed to Sacremento for the usual session of shaking hands and kissing babies (along with signing autographs, and throwing high-fives to the fans).

New England is getting a bit colder, and with the anticipation of snow falling in the forecast, the pre-season stoke is at an all time high. Needless to say, a (Massachusetts) massive showing of Forum or Against’em coincided with the Eastern Boarder Video premiere. With Guinness pints flowing and a vast array of North Eastern accents livening the scene, crowds gathered to see the Forum Team, and Foregional Rider, Chris Carr, close out Eastern Boarder’s Project.

Here’s a little coverage from the recent Forum or Against’em premiere at Boardmart in Redding, CA. The shop hasn’t hosted a show in over 8 years… Needless to say, FOA and the Nor Cal Forum crew was a fine choice to come out of retirement with.

There was a bus ride, some down time, a club, a premiere, autograph signings, drinks, dancing, partying, and an official end to the European Forum or Against’em Tour. That’s it, “that’s what it’s all about”.

On the hot drive to France, the Forum Team was fortunate enough to take a break and, well, do a little wake surfing to cool down – as if the hangovers and jet lag of European movie premiere travel doesn’t mess with your head. After getting out of the water, the usual premiere/party antics ensued. Aaaaggghhh yeah.

The team awoke in Munich at Badeanstalt, a huge club that was converted from an in-ground swimming pool. With millions, potentially billions of people in attendance, things heated up quickly. Unfortunately, the old pool didn’t help much in terms of a cool down for the sweaty maniacs in attendance.

With Innsbruck being Forum’s European home front, it was no surprise that The Weekender Club was bound to go off. Forum or Against’em was shown on four separate levels of the party, so the team had a lot of ground to cover in one night. Needless to say, shit was handled. Is this a claim, or what?

While busing around Europe for the Forum or Against’em European tour, Jake Blauvelt and Pat Moore spent a few moments with Method Magazine - where they answered various questions about the finer points of their specific snowboarding situation.

Cafe Capital in Antwerp hosted the kick-off to the Forum or Against’em tour through Europe. With 500 people in attendance, the premiere and party kicked well through the late hours of the night with a product toss, BBQ, and dancing (you know how those Euros get). Things broke up at 3am and the team shipped off for their next stop in Munich.

Peter Line and John Jackson crossed the pond (or ocean, however you view it) to promote/premiere Forum or Against’em to Eastern Civilization. Below are some photos from the theater, which not only included the premiere, but also your traditional product give away, and autograph signing.

Forum’s California Sales Force has added a new addition to it’s promotional crew. Not in terms of “man-power” per say, but have a look at some of the wheelings and dealings and assorted meets / meats and greets that will be hitting the concrete wasteland. So yeah, if you are into snowboard videos (hint: Forum or Against’em), bar-be-que, beer, and full flavored parties, then you’ll undoubtedly have to come see the Amazing Dewey and his mystical meat-wagon. No need to be AGAINST’EM’ cause this is 100% Forum.

By now you should have heard that the Forum or Against’em World Premiere was recently held in Portland, Oregon. While staying in the City of Roses, the team also set aside some photography time for all sorts of upcoming Forum collateral. Sip’ on the following photoset.

Forum Snowboards recently let loose FORUM OR AGAINST’EM to the world in downtown Portland, Oregon. Media moguls and various snowboard types alike (along with the entire Forum Team) attended the event. Taking place at a comfortable little situation entitled The Living Room Theater, two viewings were shown, a helping of food was gobbled and one hefty bar tab was maxed. Pat Moore recently dropped into the Forum office and with that, answered some questions about his season filming for Forum or Against’em. Here’s a few things Pat would like you to know:

If you need a little more on Moore, head over to the TWS site for a little how-to on a lip trick entitled the tripods.

“The Editing Suite” - a term that has come to define the process of editors and producers alike, confined into an equipped area - all in the name of producing a video project. And throughout the movie-making process, this “Suite” is often as the name implies (sweet) while at other times, the ups and down of sitting on your ass make this sweet a bitter sour.

However you slice it, Forum or Against’em is in full production and the editing suite can only be described as being chained to a computer, avoiding all distractions, and working non-stop. Sweet or sour, you make the call, and in the process say hello to the new FOA intern, Andi (bottom left photo) as well as the fixed gear bike and potential distraction (also in the bottom left photo).

Now that the word’s out that Forum or Against’em is being produced in a Southern California reality-show-type community, the neighbors wanted to properly welcome Jeremy and Mike to the pungent commune with a pool party extravaganza.

P.S. - Isn’t Forum a snowboard company? Why the hell are they posting pics of semi-nude men on the site? Well… the real question is, why are you reading this?

The curtains have gone down, and filming for Forum or Against’em has come to a close. It’s now time to set the sights on the finished product. With that noted, veteran Forum Editor, Jeremy Pettit, along with Motion Graphics Wizard, Mike Bishop, have set-up base camp in an undisclosed Southern California location (actually, its in a kinda/sorta dorm room swingers-club called Coronado - so if you see them around the cesspool, tell them get back to work).
