If you didn’t already know, John Jackson is die-hard when it comes to fly fishing. When he’s not snowboarding, you can be sure he’s either on the Trinity swinging for steelhead, in Baja chasing roosters, or fishing Crowley Lake - minutes away from his hometown of Mammoth. As you can see by this year’s John Jackson Pro, featured in the February 09 issue of Fly Fisherman, even when John’s not fishing he’s clearly thinking about it.

John Jackson just landed himself the cover of Transworld Japan, along with a nice little interview within its contents. Although you fully deserve some insight into what was said, it’s proven a bit difficult to decipher the majority of those Japanese symbols in the write-up.

Not one, but two angles of John J’s massive switch indy at Squaw Valley. You know how hard that is, right?

Not sure what these are called in the high tech world of digital recording, but here are some printouts (that have been scanned, clipped, cropped, and positioned) from the Forum or Against’em rider intro shoots.

South Lake Tahoe had the distinct pleasure in showcasing the work of Forum Staff Photographer Ian Ruhter, along with Chris Wellhausen, and Cinematographer Kyle Schwartz at Lake Tahoe Community College. The night began with an Artist reception with Fine Art prints on display, and concluded with a visual presentation by each artist on a 20 x 30 foot screen in the Duke Theater. Ian broke down to the audience his philosophies of Art and how he maintains that integrity principle when managing large advertising campaigns.

The night that Forum or Against’em was set to premiere in Sierra Snowboard, the 1000+ venue was, well, it was sold out by noon. That’s because the folks at Forum are such HUGE SELL OUTS!!!

Anyway, with such an anticipated turnout, John Jackson, Travis Kennedy, and Stevie Bell headed to Sacremento for the usual session of shaking hands and kissing babies (along with signing autographs, and throwing high-fives to the fans).

Peter Line and John Jackson crossed the pond (or ocean, however you view it) to promote/premiere Forum or Against’em to Eastern Civilization. Below are some photos from the theater, which not only included the premiere, but also your traditional product give away, and autograph signing.

Don’t miss Forum’s John Jackson Pro and women’s SuperStar Snowboard and VSP Binding in Outside Magazine’s 2009 Winter Buyer’s Guide. “Superstiff and powerful, this thing tore through the park,” is how one tester described the John Jackson Pro, placing it in the Top 8 for this season.

Forum Staff Photographer, Ian Ruhter, posted a photo gallery on Transworld Snowboarding’s website featuring a plethora of pics (and informative captions) taken during the filming of Forum or Against’em.

This is some Forum media coverage as seen in the first issue (of the 2009 season) of Transworld Snowboarding Magazine. Highlights include “Mastering the Method” with Pat Moore, along with ads from Stevie Bell, Jake Welch, John Jackson, and For’am Trevor Jacob.

With session number one (aka: Forum Week) kicking off at Camp of Champions, members of the Forum team were more than enthusiastic about taking a trip to Whistler and getting some snow under their feet. Aside from the usual dose of jibbing, jumping, bonking, spinning, sliding, and slashing, plenty of time was spent hanging out with campers and kicking it during various off-hill camp activities.

Forum team rider John Jackson was in the neighborhood, and decided to stop by the Forum Headquarters to say hello, see some new goodies, and shoot a few photos. Remember, if you’re going to be at Camp of Champions from June 21-28, you might also have the pleasure of saying hello to John, showing him your goodies, or even take a few photos with him.

Forum Week will be hosted at Camp of Champions from June 21-28 in Whistler, BC. If you’re going to be there, squeeze in a lap with Jake Blauvelt, John Jackson, Nic Sauve, Daniel Ek, and/or Stevie Bell, as they’ll be there enjoying all the summer festivities.
