Generally known for his street riding and rail prowess, Jake Welch has been somewhat of a “sleeper” in the park world. At Snowboarder Magazine’s Superpark, held in Mammoth last spring, the little giant woke up on the right side of the bed and took on this “Mammoth Monolith”, landing what some (by some we mean Snowboarder Magazine) have claimed a “record frontside air”. This is Jake’s first cover, and now that we’re supplying him with a nonstop flow of Starbucks, it’s safe to say that it won’t be his last.

Last season, Eddie Wall, Pat Moore and Trevor Jacob filmed their respective parts for Mammoth Mountain’s feature film, HOT LAPS . To kick off opening weekend, Mammoth hosted a premiere in the village, and had a live performance with Shiny Toy Guns at Canyon Lodge afterwards. The boys were in town to ride, spectate, and do the usual pre-season partying, as seen in the photos below.
HOT LAPS will be available in the Superpark issue of Snowboarder Magazine, available on newsstands December 4th. Be sure to pick up a copy of your own

FORUM FRIDAYS - MAMMOTH PART 2
10.30.2009
Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.
Pat Moore, Cameron Pierce, Niki Korpela, and Ethan Morgan, had one of those epic sunset shoots on the backside of Mammoth last spring. Pat, Niki, and Ethan documented some of this in their respectable video parts, but the rest that didn’t make it can be found in this clip right here.

FORUM FRIDAYS - MAMMOTH
10.23.2009
Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.
Pat Moore & Stevie Bell, alongside The Youngblood crew of Cameron Pierce, Niko Cioffi, Niki Korpela, Austen Sweetin, and Ethan Morgan, spent a few weeks in Mammoth filming on all sorts of different features. Some shots made their way into FOREVER while some, well, didn’t. Not to be thrown to the pits of video-Hell for all eternity, they have found salvation here on TWS. Enjoy.
FOREVER is Forum’s sixth team-video release, and is now available on DVD and in the iTunes Store.

PAT MOORE IS CLEVER
10.19.2009
Came across some signatures on the wall of The Unbound Terrain Park Office this past weekend while riding in Mammoth. Pat Moore, he’s such a little jokester.

RALLY DAY
05.21.2009
Sometimes the snow’s not that good, and you need to find another way to pass the time. On this particular day, various Forum representatives decided to push the limits of various forms of transportation. It all went fairly well until, For’am, Niko Cioffi, sunk his sled in the middle of a pond at the bottom of Mammoth. Nice work rookie.

PARK TIME
05.18.2009
Out of the streets, out of the backcountry, and it’s time to head into the parks. Mammoth Mountain has built some epic features and the team has been sessioning heavy for the past week. Below are the pics taken between the hits. Enjoy

AUSTEN SWEETIN ON SNOWBOARDERMAG.COM
05.10.2009
For’am, Austen Sweetin, had a good run at Superpark this year, and managed to catch the eye of quite a few people. The guys at SNOWBOARDER Magazine were so pumped that they pulled him aside for a few words. Check that link for the video interview and some action.

GREG BRETZ TAKES 2ND IN WCI HALFPIPE
05.03.2009
For’am, Greg Bretz, came out to battle the elements in the 8th Annual Fiesta De La Pipa, hosted by Mammoth Mountain. With speed being a major issue in the days event, Greg took out a grip of his frustrations on one of the pinatas and brought home a few grand for his valiant efforts.

GREG BRETZ - HOT LAPS
03.18.2009
Between stops of his intense contest schedule, Greg Bretz enjoys riding Mammoth when he gets to go home. While he’s in town, he spends time filming for their upcoming park release, “Hot Laps”. Below is a little teaser and some heartfelt feelings from Greg on his home mountain.

MAMMOTH DEMO DAYS
02.13.2009
The annual Demo Days celebration was held for Southern California retailers at Mammoth Mountain. Forum staff was on hand turning screws and getting everyone set up (and set back) to ride some powder. In between all the slashes and tree runs, buyers were welcomed back to the tent to check more decks, and grab some grub off the grill, compliments of Chef Dewey.

Although the weather in Mammoth felt more like late Spring than early Winter, the mountain provided many with their first turns of the 2008/2009 season. For’am Team riders Trevor Jacob, Greg Bretz, and Niko Cioffi were around to take a few of their own as well, along with their first jumps and jibs; some of which are documented below.

Mammoth Mountain hosted this year’s Superpark, entitled “Son of Berzerker”. Pat Moore came down for a few days to meet up with For’ams Greg Bretz, Trevor Jacob, Niko Cioffi, and Cameron Pierce. You’ll have to wait for next season’s issue to drop for all the magazine worthy coverage, but for now, here’s a sneak-peak.

WCI 2008
05.05.2008
Mammoth locals Greg Bretz and Trevor Jacob were joined by fellow For’am members Cameron Pierce and Niko Cioffi for the annual West Coast Invitational and Fiesta De La Pipa situated in Mammoth, California.
They definitely shined in the competition, but unfortunately, not bright enough to walk away with any cash in the winner take-all-event. So yeah, there’s not much to update when nobody wins anything. Just chow down on some photos from the weekend’s event, and wash it down with some Corona while you enjoy your Cinco de Mayo.
