A new contest format erupted on Mt. Hood this week with the underground launch of the HCSC Spin Cycle Classicâ„¢. The premise is simple: which rider(s) can cycle through all four directions of spinning (frontside, backside, switch frontside and switch backside) from 180º to 900º with the least mistakes and the best style. Ian Thorley tied for first with Heikki Sorsa in the inaugural rotational event, and earned himself a Cobra Dog, Volcano Cone, Huck Shake, and his name permanently engraved on the iconic Spin Cycle Classic golden washing machine, the major appliance version of the “Stanley Cup of Snowboarding”.

IN CAHOOTS WITH COBRA DOGS
04.15.2009
Forum Snowboards and Cobra Dogs have sealed a deal that involves snowboarding, having fun, eating food, and secret magic. Like an “all beef Boa” in a bun, this perfect match has been cooking for some time. Both groups are prepping for a strong Mt. Hood showing this summer where Cobra Dogs may unveil a secret new wiener that will potentially be the best hot dog in all of Government Camp. At the same time, Forum will be unveiling all sorts of new fun for campers to ride including Chilly Dog Continuous Reverse Camber available on several board models, as well as the all-new Shaka binding which naturally comes with a side of good vibes.

For other interesting notes, check out the Cobra Dog Blog, or read the entire press release via yobeat.com

Here’s a follow-up to Pete’s previous banger on the Skibowl Spine. Joni Malmi in Mt. Hood after the transformation from spine to wall.
Joni will soon be heading through Europe on the Forum or Against’em tour. As a little precursor to the kickoff, Onboard Digital had a question session with The Mog about some of his adventures this year.

09.24.2008
Peter Line banger in Mt. Hood. Don’t call it a comeback…

Pat Moore’s Signature Session at HCSC was not to be missed. It was so good, in fact, that Forum Teammates decided to attend camp and take part in some of the festivities.. While there, Pat was joined by Peter Line, Eddie Wall, Jake Blauvelt, Jake Welch, and For’am, Austen Sweetin – whom all enjoyed some post-spring conditions, chilling with the campers, signing autographs, and testing / tweaking some prototypes.

ANOTHER DAY IN THE HOOD
05.24.2008
After days behind the clouds, the sun finally made a cameo appearance in Mt. Hood. Daniel Ek, Peter Line, Travis Kennedy, and Pat Moore were more than happy to take full advantage of the opportunity, and get some work done for their respective video parts.

SOME DOWN TIME IN HOOD
05.22.2008
A few guys have been stationed in Mt. Hood, waiting out the weather in hopes of getting some late-spring park shots for the upcoming Forum or Against’em video. Since it’s been pouring almost nonstop since they’ve arrived, this is what’s been going on to keep everyone occupied.

A LITTLE FYI FOR YA
01.18.2008
The Forum Team is still going strong and, well, let’s just say they’re dominating the rail scene in the chilly suburbs of Eastern Canada. These photos show the situation when the action settles down and the behind the scene situations take over.
