This week’s Forum Friday comes direct from Innsbruck. Andreas Wiig, and Pat Moore headed to Austria to meet up with some of the European team for Air & Style. Youngbloods, Niki Korpela and Ethan Morgan, did their part in the rookie session, while Andreas, Pat, and Peter Konig rode in the pro division. Niki FT’d his first Frontside 1440 and took third place with the Rookies. Andreas stepped up wtih some frontside doublecork 10s and walked off with 3rd place overall.

The 11th Annual TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards will be held at The Fillmore Auditorium in Downtown Denver, Friday, January 29, 2010 during the SIA trade show. The Riders’ Poll Awards honors snowboarding’s top riders-the winners are determined by polling more than 125 professional snowboarders worldwide. In addition, thousands of TransWorld SNOWboarding readers cast their votes for the winner of the Men’s and Women’s Reader’s Poll Award.

Last season, Eddie Wall, Pat Moore and Trevor Jacob filmed their respective parts for Mammoth Mountain’s feature film, HOT LAPS . To kick off opening weekend, Mammoth hosted a premiere in the village, and had a live performance with Shiny Toy Guns at Canyon Lodge afterwards. The boys were in town to ride, spectate, and do the usual pre-season partying, as seen in the photos below.

Pat Moore spent his weekend in Mammoth, and celebrated his birthday a little early with some of his good friends. Here’s a pic of Pat blowing out his candles at midnight. He’s not 32, but a 23 he’s still one year closer to becoming a team manager! Happy Birthday bud.

Not sure if it’s just Luck of the Irish, or his blazing spinning-speed that set Pat’s scalp ablaze, but Forum’s red-headed wonder boy was the over-all victor in the First Annual Snowboarder Magazine SPIN TO WIN Contest for America’s Next Top Pro Model. Nice work Patty Cakes. If you’re still dizzy, pick yourself up some Dramamine.

Peter Line and Pat Moore’s High Cascade Signature Session wrapped up an amazing week with a brand new, apres activity. Yes, their session hosted the First Annual Forum ChillyDog slip n’slide contest just outside of Cobra Dogs. Campers hurled themselves down a 25 foot chili covered hill into a chili filled pool for the chance to win Shaka bindings and an autographed Substance board from Peter Line. With Pete as head judge, and Pat Moore on the mic, the level of trickery was raised every time a new rider dropped in. Video coming soon…

Pat Moore recently took a spur of the moment trip to Woodward at Copper. While there, he hung out with a few campers, hucked himself into foam pits, made some turns, and sent in these photos to document the good times. Time for you to live vicariously through Pat, one MOORE time.

Here’s another photo update from Forum Staff Photographer, Tim Peare. This little nugget includes some shots from a backcountry trip to the fine state of Montana.

“Back to the Boneyard” wasn’t just an event thrown to pay homage to one of the finer East coast parks, but a way for Pat Moore to help raise scholarship money for the Waterville Valley Snowboard Academy. With a hundred competitors showing up for the event, and a serious trick menu to shop from, Pat and all the riders helped raise a nice chunk of change to help make “snowboard school” a little more affordable for a lucky shredder out there.

If you’re in going to be in the “Live Free or Die” State on March 24th, swing by Waterville Valley and throw a high-five to Pat Moore while he’s chillin’ in The Boneyard.

Snowmobiling and Snowboarding go hand in hand. You wouldn’t see most backcountry shots without them, and although it’s fun, snowmobiling is also a huge pain. From digging out stuck sleds, to constant repair work, the time and money put into these machines is endless. Below are some shots Ian Ruhter snapped that capture the not-so-fun side of winter transportation.

Forum Lensman, Tim Peare, snapped some mugshots on his recent travels with various members of the Forum Team. Not so much a “what they’re doin” supdate, as it is a, “how they’re lookin” one…and yeah, they look good. They look REAL good. HEY EVERYONE, COME AND SEE HOW GOOD THEY LOOK!

Forum recently attended the SIA show in Las Vegas, where snowsport manufactures, retailers and lurkers came together to check out the latest and greatest in snowsport equipment. Amidst all the skis, sleds, snowboards, boots and bindings, there were scantily clad individuals, copious amounts of booze and numerous other “did you see that” happenings. The Forum booth held down space G72 (whatever that means), and among the lurkers were the likes of some highly influential pro riders. For those of you that missed out on SIA’s last year in Vegas, have a look.

Pat Moore is someone you can all ways count on. I spent the whole season shooting with Pat. In that time I got to see a side of him that many people don’t get to see. Pat is all ways willing to lend a hand or help anyone out at any time. He’s actually one of the nicest guys in snowboarding. He gives 100 % every waking moment. Let’s just say he is a very passionate person. Check him out in the Forum movie “Forum or Against ‘Em” and you will see what I mean.

Here are some photos from the Zurich premiere of Forum or Against’em. This event went down (by the time you read this) a few weeks ago, but who gets sick of a little chilling, partying, and fanning out - the stuff that follows any movie premiere, anywhere in the world.

If you find yourself in Quebec and are looking for something other than a helping of poutine, head over to Alternative Board Shop and pick up some new Forum goods. If you’re not currently in the market, at least have a look at the mighty fine Forum displays that are covering storefront windows.

There was a bus ride, some down time, a club, a premiere, autograph signings, drinks, dancing, partying, and an official end to the European Forum or Against’em Tour. That’s it, “that’s what it’s all about”.

On the hot drive to France, the Forum Team was fortunate enough to take a break and, well, do a little wake surfing to cool down – as if the hangovers and jet lag of European movie premiere travel doesn’t mess with your head. After getting out of the water, the usual premiere/party antics ensued. Aaaaggghhh yeah.

The team awoke in Munich at Badeanstalt, a huge club that was converted from an in-ground swimming pool. With millions, potentially billions of people in attendance, things heated up quickly. Unfortunately, the old pool didn’t help much in terms of a cool down for the sweaty maniacs in attendance.

With Innsbruck being Forum’s European home front, it was no surprise that The Weekender Club was bound to go off. Forum or Against’em was shown on four separate levels of the party, so the team had a lot of ground to cover in one night. Needless to say, shit was handled. Is this a claim, or what?

While busing around Europe for the Forum or Against’em European tour, Jake Blauvelt and Pat Moore spent a few moments with Method Magazine - where they answered various questions about the finer points of their specific snowboarding situation.

Cafe Capital in Antwerp hosted the kick-off to the Forum or Against’em tour through Europe. With 500 people in attendance, the premiere and party kicked well through the late hours of the night with a product toss, BBQ, and dancing (you know how those Euros get). Things broke up at 3am and the team shipped off for their next stop in Munich.

This is some Forum media coverage as seen in the October issue of Transworld Snowboarding Magazine. Highlights include “Three Days with Jake Blauvelt”, and Good Wood awards for the Seeker, Substance, Spinster, and Craft.

Pat Moore’s Signature Session at HCSC was not to be missed. It was so good, in fact, that Forum Teammates decided to attend camp and take part in some of the festivities.. While there, Pat was joined by Peter Line, Eddie Wall, Jake Blauvelt, Jake Welch, and For’am, Austen Sweetin – whom all enjoyed some post-spring conditions, chilling with the campers, signing autographs, and testing / tweaking some prototypes.

Pat Moore will be hosting Signature Session 6 at High Cascade Snowboard Camp from August 7-14. If you haven’t already signed up, act quick, as a few other of your favorite Forum riders will be spotted on-hill as well. And, while you’re there, stop by the Cobra Dog Trailer and sink your fangs into Governemnt Camp’s finest Forum Sponsored Dog.

In case you’ve forgotten what members of the Forum team look like, the latest installment from Joni Malmi’s digicam should bring you up to speed. Enjoy some head shots of some of the guys that Joni travelled with while filming for Forum’s upcoming movie project Forum or Against’em.

After days behind the clouds, the sun finally made a cameo appearance in Mt. Hood. Daniel Ek, Peter Line, Travis Kennedy, and Pat Moore were more than happy to take full advantage of the opportunity, and get some work done for their respective video parts.

Members of the Forum team took an early May trip to Summit at Snoqualmie, WA for miscellaneous video and photo shooting, and although these pictures are a little dated, check out how much snow was left up there.

Mammoth Mountain hosted this year’s Superpark, entitled “Son of Berzerker”. Pat Moore came down for a few days to meet up with For’ams Greg Bretz, Trevor Jacob, Niko Cioffi, and Cameron Pierce. You’ll have to wait for next season’s issue to drop for all the magazine worthy coverage, but for now, here’s a sneak-peak.

The Forum Team is still going strong and, well, let’s just say they’re dominating the rail scene in the chilly suburbs of Eastern Canada. These photos show the situation when the action settles down and the behind the scene situations take over.
