PAT MOORE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE THIS FRIDAY

02.22.2010

Pat Moore is trying to help raise money to build a skatepark in his hometown in New Hampshire. If you’re free this Friday, drop in and try your luck at getting your hands on some Forum product, toss a high-five to Pat, and take in another viewing of Video of the Year. It’s win/win all around.

PAT MOORE - 3D SNOWBOARD MAGAZINE COVER

01.26.2010

Pat’s second cover this year comes on the February issue of SNOWBOARD MAGAZINE. By no means is this your typical 2D print, but rather the first 3D cover in snowboard magazine history, which basically makes it the equivalent of what Avatar would be in the snowboarding world…kinda. Well, not really, but you get the point. We think it’s petty rad.

PAT MOORE’S A NICE GUY

01.25.2010

Pat Moore dropped by Forum HQ to say hello and see what kind of noise the office dwellers are making these days. He brought his new miniature teacup yorkie, Lola, with him for the ride. He wants us to think that he’s not all tough and evil, but the bottom line is that he’s going to take her home, bite her head off, and bathe in her blood to honor of Ozzy. Just kidding. Deep down Pat really is a softy.

FORUM FRIDAYS - SQUAW JUMP

11.08.2009

Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.

This clip features John Jackson, Pat Moore, and Daniel Ek and includes some of the cut heli-footage from a day’s work at Squaw Valley. A few of these snuck into FOREVER, but those that didn’t were saved for this little web-nugget.

FOREVER is Forum’s sixth team-video release, and is now available on DVD and in the iTunes Store.

10.30.2009

Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.

Pat Moore, Cameron Pierce, Niki Korpela, and Ethan Morgan, had one of those epic sunset shoots on the backside of Mammoth last spring. Pat, Niki, and Ethan documented some of this in their respectable video parts, but the rest that didn’t make it can be found in this clip right here.

10.23.2009

Forum Fridays comes to you as an extension of Forum’s most recent team-inspired snowboarding release, FOREVER. While the footage is admirable, it was dropped on the cutting room floor, but swept back up for your visual indulgence.

Pat Moore & Stevie Bell, alongside The Youngblood crew of Cameron Pierce, Niko Cioffi, Niki Korpela, Austen Sweetin, and Ethan Morgan, spent a few weeks in Mammoth filming on all sorts of different features. Some shots made their way into FOREVER while some, well, didn’t. Not to be thrown to the pits of video-Hell for all eternity, they have found salvation here on TWS. Enjoy.

09.01.2009

SNOWBOARDER MAG’S October 2009 issue features an 11 page photo story on Peter Line, Pat Moore, Eddie Wall, and Stevie Bell’s experiences filming in a small town. Usually avoiding police and the authorities is a must on urban trips, but after a city council meeting and support from the town of Houghton Michigan, the boys were literally handed the key to the city. Want to hear a joke? “Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” “Pat Moore.” “Pat Moore who?” “Pat Moore who is going to kick everyone at SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s ass if they make some joke about him being a jock in the America’s Next Top Pro Model writeup!” Kidding aside, you know what isn’t a joke? How seriously good Pat Moore is at riding a snowboard. If it’s covered in snow Pat can shred it. Keep in mind that the second-to-last time Pat competed at Hood he won the Abominable Snowjam halfpipe title and got second in the World Tailblocking Championships!

“Back to the Boneyard” wasn’t just an event thrown to pay homage to one of the finer East coast parks, but a way for Pat Moore to help raise scholarship money for the Waterville Valley Snowboard Academy. With a hundred competitors showing up for the event, and a serious trick menu to shop from, Pat and all the riders helped raise a nice chunk of change to help make “snowboard school” a little more affordable for a lucky shredder out there.

Snowmobiling and Snowboarding go hand in hand. You wouldn’t see most backcountry shots without them, and although it’s fun, snowmobiling is also a huge pain. Forum recently attended the SIA show in Las Vegas, where snowsport manufactures, retailers and lurkers came together to check out the latest and greatest in snowsport equipment. Amidst all the skis, sleds, snowboards, boots and bindings, there were scantily clad individuals, copious amounts of booze and numerous other “did you see that” happenings. The Forum booth held down space G72 (whatever that means), and among the lurkers were the likes of some highly influential pro riders. For those of you that missed out on SIA’s last year in Vegas, have a look.

A SEASON SPENT WITH PAT MOORE ON TWS

11.04.2008

Pat Moore is someone you can all ways count on. I spent the whole season shooting with Pat. In that time I got to see a side of him that many people don’t get to see. Pat is all ways willing to lend a hand or help anyone out at any time. He’s actually one of the nicest guys in snowboarding. He gives 100 % every waking moment. Let’s just say he is a very passionate person. Check him out in the Forum movie “Forum or Against ‘Em” and you will see what I mean.
Oh yeah, he is really good at snowboarding too.

FOA EUROPEAN TOUR STOP AT MUNICH AND INNSBRUCK

10.14.2008

The team awoke in Munich at Badeanstalt, a huge club that was converted from an in-ground swimming pool. With millions, potentially billions of people in attendance, things heated up quickly. Unfortunately, the old pool didn’t help much in terms of a cool down for the sweaty maniacs in attendance.

Munich

With Innsbruck being Forum’s European home front, it was no surprise that The Weekender Club was bound to go off. Forum or Against’em was shown on four separate levels of the party, so the team had a lot of ground to cover in one night. Needless to say, shit was handled. Is this a claim, or what?

IAN RUHTER PHOTO GALLERY ON TWS SNOW

10.06.2008

tws

Forum Staff Photographer, Ian Ruhter, posted a photo gallery on Transworld Snowboarding’s website featuring a plethora of pics (and informative captions) taken during the filming of Forum or Against’em.

“The things that really bother me about my job are also the things I love. I believe that I made the decision to do this with my life subconsciously. The things that I have seen and been a part of have changed my life forever. The snowboard community is the most dysfunctional group of people in the world. We’re anything but normal. That is why we’re all working together. Where else can you be free to express yourself in any way and be accepted? If you don’t fit in to society and you’re not considered a normal person, then come join us. We will welcome anyone who doesn’t want to be put into a cookie-cutter mold. Normal will never measure up to being extraordinary. That is what we are.”
