How should I set up my snowboard bindings?
You snowboard bindings should have come with an illustrated instruction manual. If they did not, please read the below or visit and authorized retailer for more information.
As the various angles and width options of professional riders will attest to, there is no right or wrong stance setup. It’s all a matter of personal preference. However, if you are slightly confused about where to start, a good rule of thumb is to set your bindings on the reference stance of the board (marked with a text icon) - this will optimize the board’s geometry.
If that doesn’t feel right, try putting your board on the ground and stand on it like you were going to ride it - generally your feet will be about a shoulder’s length apart. Next, notice how far apart your feet are and the angles that your feet make on the board. Use a piece of tape to mark your angles and stance position so you can mount your bindings.
Be sure to tighten your hardware properly. Screws should be tightened until seated and then tightened three full turns. To be prepared for changing conditions on the hill, it’s a good idea to keep small screwdriver in your pocket.
